HOME SCHOOLING

First things first - If you can't home school, for whatever reason, don't feel guilty. We all have to live in reality and we all have limitations. It's about doing the best you can.

We started out using the public school system for our son while we worked. It became apparent to us by the time our child was 5 (he had been in pre-school for 2 years and we loved it) that he was very difficult for them to manage. He was not integrating well, had behavioral problems at school that did not exist at home, and most importantly he wasn't learning well.

After some soul searching, some research, and some guidance from other educators in our sphere of relationships, we decided to take on the challenge.  And by "we", I mean his all world mother. Mama bear put her career on hold to try and make a difference in our son's education. There is just no substitute for one on one learning (when done properly) and the tenacity of mother that won't accept anything less than getting the best from her student.

We are fortunate at this stage to be able to financial handle this but it is not comfortable nor for the feint of heart. We are talking about a lot of patience, time, and learning of your own.
